Fata
Morgana
Fata Morgana is an arrangement of furniture, pretending to be highly
functional. But as soon as you try to use them, they break, collapse
even before you could reache them.
The principle of the toy giraffe you will see on the right has been
transferred into the dimension of real furniture. Approaching a chair,
the chair collapses while you step on the pedestal. Walking on the
pedestal, the chair moves, almost starts to dance.
The project was made in a group of 5 students with Prof. Achim Heine
at the Universität der Künste Berlin and it was bought into
the collection of the Vitra Design Museum. |
